To keep the streets safe during the long 3-day weekend, the city of Chicago will deploy more officers to patrol. New Mayor Lori Lightfoot has made safety and crime prevention a priority. The Chicago police have announced that they will have 1200 officers working overtime during Memorial Day Weekend.
