John Mellencamp has released cover of Merle Travis‘ 1946 classic, “Dark as a Dungeon.” The song, made famous with Johnny Cash‘s cover in 1968, is about the coal mining industry. Mellencamp’s cover appears in the National Geographic documentary, From The Ashes and can be heard in the video below…
