Happy 70th birthday to iconic guitarist and bandleader Carlos Santana!!! Coming on July 28th is Santana‘s latest album Power Of Peace, which teams the band up with the Isley Brothers. The new set features covers of Stevie Wonder‘s “Higher Ground,” Burt Bacharach & Hal David‘s “What The World Needs Now Is Love,” Marvin Gaye‘s “Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology),” Willie Dixon‘s “I Just Want To Make Love To You” and Curtis Mayfield‘s “Gypsy Woman,” among others.
In April 2016, the Santana IV album was released and debuted at Number Five on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The set featured the classic early-’70s lineup of Santana, including Carlos Santana, Neal Schon, Gregg Rolie, percussionist Michael Carbello, and drummer Michael Shrieve, along with current Santana members Karl Perazzo on percussion and Benny Rietveld bass. The album also included guest vocalist, Ronald Isley from the Isley Brothers.
