Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Hear holiday music, a choir, and see an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus at the free annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Millennium Park. The tree will remain in place until January 6th, 2018.
Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

Michigan Avenue
The festival begins with family activities and Santa Claus in Pioneer Court at Lights Festival Lane (Friday 4 – 8 p.m. & Saturday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Then, a Tree-Lighting Parade will march down Michigan Avenue from Oak Street to Wacker Drive (Saturday 5:30 p.m.). Finally at 6:55pm, a free fireworks show will commence.
Christkindlmarket

Shop and eat at this open-air European holiday market. Peruse traditional art, handmade gifts and German foods, while choirs and carolers sing. The Christkindlmarket open to all and located in Daley Plaza, The Park at Wrigley and Naperville.
Head to the massive nature park in the burbs to see colorful tree lights and projections on a one-mile walk. Fire pits will be set up to warm you up along the way. Closed November 23rd, December 24th & 25th, and Mondays (except January 1st).
Head to the museum to see trees decorated to represent many cultures. Weekends will feature ethnic song-and-dance performances. Closed November 23rd & December 25th.
