Illinois hospital sued for Prince’s death

Prince‘s family have filed a lawsuit in Cook County regarding an alleged lack of care that may have contributed to the musician’s death.  The famed artist accidentally overdosed on fentanyl that was mistaken for Vikodin.

The wrongful death lawsuit claims when Prince passed out on a plane, he was rushed to Moline, Illinois’ Trinity Medical Center where the fentanyl was ignored and a drug test was not conducted.  The lawsuit extend to Walgreen who are being accused of “dispensing prescription medications not valid for a legitimate medical purpose.”  Prince’s family hopes to prevent the same from happening to anyone else.
