If you have a flight booked with United Airlines and you plan to travel with your pet on said flight, you might want to listen up. The carrier has officially banned 21 breeds of dogs and four breeds of cats from flying in their cargo hold.
This change is part of the revision to their PetSafe travel program, which goes into effect on June 18th, and will then essentially ban short-nosed and snub-nosed dogs, as well as “strong-jawed” breeds from the transportation “out of concern for higher adverse health risks.” Also, dogs and cats are now the only animals allowed in the PetSafe program.
