Presidential Museum may have to sell off it’s Lincoln artifacts

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation is considering their choices in making their loan payments.  The museum owes $10 million dollars on a loan that was used to purchase Lincoln’s stovepipe hat, a book containing some of the late president’s handwriting and more.

The museum has until late 2019 to repay their loan and are considering selling the historic presidential memorabilia.  While I’m hoping they can meet their payments and not have to sell the Lincoln items, I wouldn’t mind walking away from that auction with that stovepipe hat.
