Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom captured the No. 1 position at the international box office for the third movie in a row for the franchise. The offshore cume is $561.5 million, making the total haul worth about $711.5 million.
In North America, the monster dinosaur flick brought in an estimated $150 million. It’s the fourth biggest opener of the year, behind Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther and Incredibles 2. The franchise in total has raked in an epic $4.4 billion. Incredibles 2 followed up its blockbuster opener with $80.9 million in its second weekend out. To date, the box office is up 8.5% year-over-year.
