12 dollars will now be the minimum wage in the City of Chicago this Sunday, July 1st, per the yearly plan that took effect in 2015.  Just 4 short years ago, the minimum wage in Chicago was $8.25 an hour.  The minimum wage will increase another dollar on July 1st of 2019, bringing it up to $13 next year.  For more info, head to CityOfChicago.org.
