I know a thing or two about typos, and now so does the one particular butter sculpture. The Illinois State Fair’s annual butter cow this year celebrates the state’s Bicentennial anniversary…but sculptor Sarah Pratt spelled, “Bicentennial,” wrong. The superintendent of the Illinois State Fair’s Dairy Building has publicly announced that the typo will be fixed in time for the weekend’s fair. This year’s cow was sculpted from 600 pounds of butter. The butter did not include spell-check.
Boy George and Culture Club headline the Illinois State fair tonight (August 10th).
