There are tips and tricks to parenting, and a new poll identifies these top so-called “parenting hacks.” Researchers spoke to 2,000 moms and dads, and found knowing how to stop a supermarket tantrum, understanding what emojis mean, and memorizing the names of TV characters are among the most important “parenting hacks.”
Other important childcare tips: knowing how to get kids to eat their fruits and veggies, knowing how to make the perfect pancake, knowing how to remove chewing gum from a child’s hair, and being able to tell when a child should go from a car seat to a booster seat. Over 90 percent of parents said they learned useful childcare advice from their parents’ generation, and over 20 percent said they gleaned tips and tricks from talking to other parents at school-related times and events.
