Aretha Franklin to have outfit changes for viewing and funeral

Aretha Franklin’s four-day celebration of life has commenced. On Tuesday (August 27th), the Queen of Soul’s public viewing took place at the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit. Her body was presented in a solid gold casket, and she wore a red dress with a pair of $775 red patent leather Christian Louboutin heels. According to The Jasmine Brand, Franklin will have a few outfit changes during the viewing.

People magazine reported that on Wednesday (August 29th), the singer wore a powder blue dress and matching shoes.  O’Neil Swanson II, the owner of Swanson Funeral Home who is handling Franklin’s services, said, “She’s not going to be wearing the same outfit [each viewing day]. Wednesday, she’ll be wearing the red dress. On Thursday, she’ll be in a gold dress, and Friday, she’s wearing a gown.”

Franklin’s funeral on Friday (August 31st) will be private, but will be made available to view online and on television.
