It feels like forever since we went without a train ticket hike!  Metra must have our complaints because the company has announced they will not raise fairs in 2019.  With their 2019 budget approval, this will be the first year in 4 years that the Chicago-to-suburb train service will not increase ride prices.  Metra has said to news sources that “Metra cannot continue to operate the system as it now exists” without more funding.  That makes me suspect another fair hike or two in 2020…
