The Dark Knight is turning 80! Warner Bros. and DC have announced a year-long birthday party for Batman, with the party getting started at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The celebration will include a moonlight fly-over by 1.5 million actual bats. On March 19th, a special hardcover of Detective Comics: 80 Years of Batman-The Deluxe Edition will land. Meanwhile, the Matt Reeves-helmed refresh of Batman will begin shooting this year, and several other TV and film iterations of the Caped Crusader and his story will be hitting big and small screens.
