Scarfing down food after a night of drinking is something a whole lot of us do, with a OnePoll survey finding that 82 percent of Americans say they are drunken snackers, and that the average poll respondent said they drunkenly snack about four times a month. So what are they eating?
Pizza was the top choice, at 66 percent, followed by chips and dip at 58 percent, French fries at 54 percent, nachos at 49 percent and tacos at 44 percent. Men tend to like spicy snacks more when they’re drunk, while women prefer saltier snacks. People even plan ahead, with 74 percent saying they’ve bought snacks and set them aside specifically for when they’re drunk. But whatever they drunkenly eat. more than 50 percent of respondents say they regret it the next day.
