DC’s latest superhero flick, Shazam, was dethroned by Warner Bros’ newest edition to the Conjuring universe, ‘The Curse of La Llorona.’  The horror based on Mexican myth took in $26.5 million at the U.S. box office and $30 million internationally.

Marvel’s Captain Marvel meanwhile experienced a boost as well, propelling the titular Superhero to number 4 this last weekend.  Signs point to the rise in viewers of Mighty Marvel’s latest solo film to those prepping themselves for when the Avengers hit theaters for a 4th time this Friday.
