Both Elton John and Bernie Taupin were moved to tears while watching the new Elton biopic Rocketman, which opens next Friday, May 31st.

Elton and Bernie talked about the effect the movie had on them both: “(Elton John): I never thought in my 73rd year, that I’d be sitting here in Cannes with a film coming out. To be honest with you? I was blown away. I was very moved — and I cried the first time I saw it, and I cried a lot this time. (Bernie Taupin): It was a wonderful experience and I echo Elton’s feelings 100 percent. I mean, it was very emotional. There were a coupe of scenes in it where I was quietly sobbing (laughs) to be quite honest.” (Pulse)
