Only one-third of people plan on watching fireworks on the Fourth of July

According to a new survey, only about one-third of people plan on watching fireworks on Thursday.  That includes 26% of people who are going to a fireworks show… and 9% who are going to set off their own fireworks.

The most common thing people will do on the Fourth of July is get together with family or friends: 44% of people are doing that.  28% are planning to go to a barbecue.  Finally, 8% of people say they have to work on the Fourth.
