‘The Griswolds’ TV show based on ‘Vacation’ films set for HBO Max

The Griswold family of the National Lampoon’s “Vacation” films, are heading to HBO Max. The show will be a single-camera half-hour comedy series, headed by writer Tim Hobert. The show will explore the iconic family and their daily lives in the suburbs of modern Chicago.

It’s being produced by Roseanne” and “Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki, who played Rusty Griswold in 1989’s “Christmas Vacation”.
