This airline’s flight attendants will be wearing HAZMAT SUITS

It’s one thing to require that flight attendants wear masks amid the coronavirus pandemic, but Qatar Airways is going all the way, having them do their jobs in hazmat suits. The flight attendants will wear the hazmat suits over their uniforms, along with safety goggles, gloves and a mask. Passengers will be required to wear masks starting next week.

Qatar Airways said, “As an airline, we maintain the highest possible hygiene standards to ensure that we can fly people home safely during this time and provide even greater reassurance that safety is our number one priority.” CNN reports this comes weeks after Philippines Airlines and AirAsia launched new uniforms that also incorporate personal protective equipment (PPE).
