Amazon reportedly moving Prime Day to September

Amazon will be moving its annual Prime Day to September from its usual date in July amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Wall Street Journal. The two-day event, which features big sales, is being moved because Amazon is still trying to catch up up with the surge in demand due to the pandemic, according to the Journal.

Part of doing that catching up will involve letting nonessential goods resume shipping to its warehouses. Thousands of individual sellers send their items to Amazon warehouses for faster shipments, but it stopped allowing that for sellers of nonessential items to accommodate the increased demand on essential products.
