Chicagoans and visitors are in for a lakeside treat next week: Navy Pier is opening it’s gates to the public once again. The Pier is set to reopen next Wednesday, June 10th, with free access to parking garages. The reopening will include East End Plaza, Polk Bros Park, Peoples Energy Welcome Pavilion, the north and south docks and Pier Park (rides will stay closed). Entertainment-wise, despite the lack of rides, we’ll still see the return of outdoor restaurant space, some free programs and tour boats.
