Classic Hits and Disney go together like peanut butter and jelly.  Just look at Disney’s Lion King and Tarzan which featured original music from Elton John and Phil Collins respectively.

Now, Lionel Richie will be getting the, “Disney Treatment.”  But, rather than creating original music for a new film, Disney will be tapping the Classic Hits artist’s extensive music log for a new live-action film.  The movie may be called, “All Night Long,” and expected to feature those Lionel Richie tunes you know and love.  Attached to the project is the screenwriter for “Crazy Rich Asians,” and “The Proposal,” Pete Chiarelli.  It’s expected that Disney’s Lionel Richie movie will be in the vein of a jukebox musical like “Mamma Mia.”
