Today’s really the beginning of the “back nine” of the year at work: any slacking off for the summer is over and now it’s the sprint until the holidays.  That means everyone’s back to trying to take care of business TODAY.

That’s why the day after Labor Day is known as “Telephone Tuesday,” the day with the most business phone calls of the year.  The average person will get 50% more work calls today than normal.
