During this pandemic, keeping things clean is more important than ever. But, it takes time to clean everything! So rather than letting the germs gather on your things, there’s plenty you can just throw in the dishwasher! The HuffPost is doing their duty to help ME and others with a list of, “17 Surprising Items You Should Clean In The Dishwasher (That Aren’t Dishes).”
Here’s 10 I’ll definitely be throwing in the dishwasher tonight!
- Keys – Ones WITHOUT electronic fobs!
- Baseball Caps – Who knew??
- Toothbrushes, holders and soap dishes – Your dentist recommends cycling threw toothbrushes rather than holding onto the same one forever due to the bacteria that accumulates. This will make your current one stick around a little longer…
- Dog bowls, toys, leashes and collars – Dogs need clean things too!!
- Nail clippers and tools – I never thought about it, but HuffPost says dead skin accumulates on these.
- Pacifiers, teething rings and children’s toys – VERY important to be hygienic when it comes to your babies and children!
- Trash cans – Obviously not the massive metal one you drag out to the curb, but the small ones you have scatted in bathrooms and bedrooms throughout the house.
- Silicone oven mitts – I drop mine all the time and it makes sense considering they touch things I cook food on!!
- Shoes – So THAT’s how to make them not stink!
- Hair brushes and accessories – HuffPost actually says a dishwasher is the most effective way to clean these!
