Piece Pizzeria and Brewery in Wicker Park is arguably one of the tastiest pizza places in the city and also one of the most charitable. Last month they gave away 100 delicious pies to local restaurant workers who are struggling financially. Co-owner Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick is now asking fellow rockers to help support another cause close to his heart: live music. First to join his effort is the Red Rocker and former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar. Through the end of January, $5 from every “Classic Rockin’ Red 5150” specialty pizza sold will go to CIVL (the Chicago Independent Venue League) to help more than 40 local concert venues survive during the pandemic.

Pizza + concerts = the best combo!
