Warner Bros. is working on a prequel to the Roald Dahl classic, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”  The prequel will focus on the book’s eccentric business owner and chocolatier, Willy Wonka.

If you’re like me, your introduction to the unforgettable character came from 1971 film’s portrayal by Gene Wilder.

Well, move over Wilder because 2023’s “Wonka,” will star Timothee Chalamet in the titular role.  This movie will be a musical musical based on Wonka’s early life, that will explore his upbringing and how it influenced his passion for confection.  We’ll have to see how it turns out on March 17th of 2023.
