I’ve been made fun of for preferring my steak to be cooked this way.  But, I’m not a complete freak for loving my steaks well done!  Because a recent study of Google Trends by Zippia found that Illinois and 16 other states prefer their steaks well done.  This states include California, Texas, and Florida.

“Medium-rare” is the next most-liked with 13 states, mostly in the Western half of the U.S.  Then “Medium-well” with 11 states,  “Medium”?? with 3 states and rare (YUCK) with 3 states as well.

Even worse, they have something called “blue” steak.  That’s where you just sear the outside, so it’s even rarer than rare.  Okay weirdies…. three states: New York, Hawaii, and Massachusetts, are into that.
