Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick dealing with PTS from open heart surgery

On the Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown podcast, Cheap Trick‘s Tom Petersson revealed that though his open heart surgery was performed in March, he hasn’t quite recovered yet.

The Cheap Trick co-founder and bassist revealed that he is experiencing post traumatic stress from the ordeal.  He opened up about his fears of needing to be opened back up or anything coming loose post-surgery.

Fans took notice of Petersson’s recovery when he sat while Cheap Trick performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last month.

Despite health setbacks, the band just released a their new album, In Another World, last month and are set to kick off their tour this July.  And Petersson, will be there with them!

Cheap Trick will rock the Hollywood Amphitheater in Tinley Park on July 16th.
