The Girl Scouts have an issue this year: 15 million boxes of cookies haven’t sold!

Yes, Illinois’ broccoli-haters, you are in the minority.

Potatoes obviously weren’t an option here, since French fries are the ultimate vegetable (this coming from neither a doctor nor dietician).

Broccoli took the #1 spot in a whopping 30 different states.  Nipping at broccoli’s ankles (broccoli have ankles, right?) are carrots, which are loved most in 12 states.

The only other veggie that ranked first anywhere was corn with eight states (mostly in the Midwest).

Broccoli is still a veggie when covered in cheese, so my theory is that’s what’s helping it stay number 1.
