Maybe working from home isn’t such a bad thing…when you consider Illinois’ gas tax prices!
Illinois is only behind California for highest gas taxes in the country. And we’re behind New Jersey for highest property taxes.
We are currently paying around 78 cents per gallon of gas because of taxes and a property tax rate of 2.27%. So even staying home is expensive!
