WalletHub put out a new study that ranked every state from the most stressed-out to the least.

The rankings are based on 41 different factors including average work hours, unemployment rate, income, divorce rates, Covid restrictions, depression rates, healthcare costs, and crime.

Illinois didn’t even crack the top 10…

The MOST stressed-out states are:

  1. Louisiana
  2. Nevada
  3. New Mexico
  4. West Virginia
  5. Mississippi
  6. Arkansas
  7. Oklahoma
  8. Alabama
  9. Texas
  10. Tennessee

Notably, Illinois was less stressed than Indiana. The two states came in at 37th place and 17th place respectively (with the lower number meaning more stress).

So where do you want to live if you’re trying to leave stress behind?

The LEAST stressed-out are:

  1. Utah
  2. Minnesota
  3. South Dakota
  4. Wisconsin
  5. New Hampshire
  6. Hawaii
  7. North Dakota
  8. Massachusetts
  9. Nebraska
  10. New Jersey

I would have thought Hawaii would be number 1 for least stressed!
