Joyce Defauw is set to graduate from Northern Illinois University in a few days… What’s so special about this? She’s a 90-year-old great-grandmother!

Joyce dropped out of college in the 1950s after becoming busy with family and came back to school almost 70s years later. Unlike most of her fellow graduates, Joyce has 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren!

Her adult children helped her out by giving her rides to class. Joyce graduates from NIU Sunday. She tells all, “Just hang in there. Keep learning. Keep giving thanks. It’s there for you. Just go for it.”
