Gene Simmons is calling Rolling Stone’s 200 Greatest Singer list B.S. after snubs

Gene Simmons is calling out Rolling Stone over their highly controversial ranking of the top 200 singers of all time.

The list seems to have snubbed some very notable music icons including Sting, Celine Dion, Cher, and Kiss.

The magazine says it used originality, influence, the depth of an artist’s catalog, and the breadth of their musical legacy to come up with the ranking but Simmons isn’t having it.

In an interview, the Kiss bassist and vocalist said the list is all about who’s popular and who’s not and called the whole thing “skewed and often one-sided.”

He said the list isn’t necessarily about singing, it’s more about style and who has a recognizable voice.
