Rubber duckies are known to be small.

But like almost everything, there’s an exception.

The World’s Largest Rubber Duck stands over 60 feet tall, and it’s coming to suburban Waukegan this weekend.

“Mama Duck,” as she is known, will make an appearance alongside her baby duck, “Timmy,” on Saturday at Waukegan Harbor & Marina’s Duck Fun Day. The celebration, which will mark the 40th anniversary of Waukegan’s South Harbor, will include a variety of duck-themed activities and even a lighted boat parade featuring boats with duck décor.

There will be plenty of chances for photo opportunities with both “Mama Duck” and her duckling. While the event will be packed with fun-filled activities, it will also promote the appreciation and preservation of natural resources, according to the harbor and marina website.

Duck Fun Day is set to begin Saturday, August 30th at 10 a.m. and wrap up at 6 p.m.
