Chicago’s Christmas tree recycling program has returned.
You can drop off your tree at 27 different locations across the city from January 3 to the 17.
But make sure you take off all the lights and ornaments, first.
The recycled trees will be turned into mulch to be used at Chicago’s parks.
In the spring, residents can cut up their tree and then dispose of it through their municipality’s landscape waste disposal program.
