In honor of single game tickets going on sale Friday, the Chicago Cubs are celebrating with a “larger-than-life” surprise that will be spread across the city.
On Thursday, the Cubs plan to drop life-sized bobbleheads at varies locations. The bobbleheads are to celebrate the club’s 150th anniversary as a National League franchise, and will feature former players such as Kerry Wood, Sammy Sosa and Ben Zobrist.
According to the Cubs, the first 150 people who find a bobblehead or bobblehead box will win a pair of tickets to a regular season game.
In addition to the free tickets, fans can get complimentary donuts and Cubs-branded items at each spot:
- 7:30-8 a.m.: Ben Zobrist bobblehead at Chicago Union Station
- 8:45-9:15 a.m.: Sammy Sosa bobblehead at Tribune Tower
- 10-10:30 a.m.: Kerry Wood bobblehead at 875 North Michigan Avenue
- 11:15-11:45 a.m.: Giant bobblehead box and 2016 World Series championship trophy at the DePaul University Lincoln Park Campus gate on the corner of Fullerton Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and Halsted Street
Fans can snag their own anniversary bobblehead or lock in seats when single game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.cubs.com/tickets.
