The DuPage County Forest Preserve Police say they responded Wednesday, October 20th, after a woman walking at the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in Wheaton returned to her car to find a snake slithering underneath the vehicle.
Police posted about capturing the snake, which was a ball python, on Facebook, noting, “A reminder not to release your pets or wildlife into the forest preserves. It’s not only unlikely they will survive but also unlawful.”
