Mick Fleetwood set for VIP evening at LA’s Morrison Hotel Gallery

Fans will get a chance to rub shoulders with legendary drummer Mick Fleetwood on August 4th at the Morrison Hotel Gallery at L.A.’s Sunset Marquis Hotel. The Fleetwood Mac co-founder will be hosting an exclusive VIP evening of fine art music photography, gourmet food and drink. According to the press release, Fleetwood is “presenting some of his personal favorite music photographs intimately arranged poolside for (him) to walk through his inspirations and extraordinary life in music with VIP guests. . . Amenities included with your ticket purchase are open bar access and a selection of hors d’oeuvres by James Beard award-winning chef Michael Schlow.”

Tickets are limited and run $350 per person. The ticket price will be deducted from any purchase of a limited edition fine art print.

Last fall, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the original Fleetwood Mac lineup forming, Mick Fleetwood published the photo-heavy Love That Burns – A Chronicle of Fleetwood Mac, Volume One 1967-1974 via the elite Genesis Publications. The tome, featuring countless personal photos and anecdotes, chronicles the band’s early days with legendary guitarists Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwan, through the middle period with Christine McVie, Bob Welch, and Bob Weston. Pulse asked Fleetwood if he ever imagines what would’ve happened had the beloved original lineup of the Mac stayed together: “There are moments — and will always will be — of what would’ve happened to that band musically and I have quiet thoughts about. . .  I think Peter would’ve gone form strength-to-strength had he not lost that focus emotionally and then, thus musically eventually. He sort of quietly went away, really. So I bemoan that. There’s nothing you can do about it.”

Fleetwood Mac comes to Chicago to play at the United Center on Saturday, October 6th.
