Apparently, people prefer “Howdy, ya’ll!” to, “Da Bears.” A new YouGov poll took a look at accents in America, and found that people rated the Southern accent as sexiest, while Boston’s was judged to be the strongest. Eighteen percent chose Southern coastal accents as the most attractive, followed by Texas accents with 12 percent. But just as many, 12 percent, said they don’t find any American accents attractive.
For strongest accent, Boston was on top with 23 percent, followed by the Southern coast with 16 percent, and New York and Texas tied with 13 percent. In last place was Chicago with only 1 percent say its the strongest and only 2 percent of pollers calling it the most attractive. Guess they’re not fond a dis, dat, de’s and doe’s.
