Pantone’s declared 2018’s color of the year, and hopefully it will bring a smile to your face. The color is ultra violet, a very bright shade of purple. Director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, says the hue “communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking.” Vice president of Pantone, Laurie Pressman, adds, “It’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.” (People)
