As severe weather rolls through Chicagoland, WGN viewers have shared photos of hail and storm damage in some areas.
The area remains under active severe weather threats, with continued hail, downpours, gusty winds, and isolated tornadoes possible.
Residents in Westmont, Downers Grove and Kankakee also reported heavy hail, some of which resulted in car damage.
Northwest Indiana was also hit hard by the strong storms.
Officials there said a tornado touched down at around 7 p.m. about four miles southwest of Lake Village. Powerlines and homes were damaged and people are asked to refrain from traveling due to debris on the road.
The debris field spans from the Illinois-Indiana state line, several miles to Lake Village, according to officials.
Authorities said NIPSCO deployed roughly 100 electricians to the area. An update will be provided in the morning.
