After four days of massive crowds enjoying music in Grant Park, Lollapalooza came to a close on Sunday night.
Rain boots happened to be a trending accessory at this year’s festival after showers soaked the grounds, creating a muddy mess.
Many concertgoers decided to roll with the punches and make the most of it.
Still, many turned out to see Tate McRae and The xx close out the final stretch as the night’s headliners.
The weather forced the gates to open four hours late on Saturday, with some acts being scrapped because of those delays.
However, that wasn’t the case on Sunday as there were clear skies and good spirits all around.
Multiple people who spoke to NBC Chicago said they didn’t mind the mud or the rain.
“Didn’t really make a difference for me yesterday, the mud didn’t really bother us,” one attendee said.
“No one really cared about their shoes, they’re replaceable, and yeah, these memories aren’t,” another added.
Friday wasn’t immune from issues as a performance by rapper and singer Lil Uzi Vert was canceled amid rainy conditions across the region.
