According to Nielsen numbers, the game scored 44.9/68 in metered market results, a dip of 5.2% from when the Bowl was broadcast on NBC last year. Overall, it was the worst ratings since 2009, when the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Arizona Cardinals. CBS broadcast the show this year for the first time since 2016.
