After listening to Metallica do their version of Prince’s When Doves Cry my first reaction was ewwwww.
As many Prince fans felt.
But when you look at it from the angle of WHY they did it, I think I like it more.
It was a tribute to Prince.
Metallica was in Minneapolis and the band makes a habit of paying tribute to the top artists from each state on their tour when they are in that city.
So try watching it with that in mind. Or with the volume down.
