When do the Cubs play next? Full playoffs schedule, how to get tickets and more

The Chicago Cubs claimed victory over the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field Thursday night, winning 3-1 in a nail biter and clinching Game 3 of their National League Wild Card Series.

The Cubs advanced with their first postseason series victory since 2017, the year after winning the World Series. Up next is the National League Division Series, where they’ll take on rival and manager Craig Counsell’s former team the Milwaukee Brewers for the first time ever in a playoff series.

The Brewers won the division by five games over Chicago, but the Cubs took the season series 7-6. Counsell is Milwaukee’s winningest manager with 707 wins and three division titles from 2015-23.

The series begins Saturday in Milwaukee, and at least one game is guaranteed at Wrigley. Here’s what to know about tickets, game schedule and more.

For games that aren’t played at Wrigley Field, the Cubs announced that watch parties will be held at Gallagher Way, located next door to the ballpark in Wrigleyville. That area would open at least one hour prior to each game, with more information to be released after the National League Division Series schedule is finalized.

The Cubs knocked off the San Diego Padres in three games to secure their first playoff series win in eight seasons, and to win a winner-take-all game at Wrigley Field for the first time in team history.

Tickets will cost $10 for the watch parties, with all proceeds benefitting Cubs Charities, according to the team. Drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase, along with other entertainment.

How to watch the Cubs game

Thanks to the New York Yankees beating the Boston Red Sox, the Cubs and Brewers will kick off Division Series Saturday, with first pitch set for 1:08 p.m. The game will air on TBS and truTV, and will stream on HBO Max.
