National Doughnut Day is celebrated on the first Friday of June, and pastry fans can plan their day around visiting several doughnut chains offering free donuts. From Dunkin Donuts, where Friday’s visitors can get one of several varieties of doughnuts for free, with a purchase of a drink, to Duck Donuts, who are giving away a free doughnut in several varieties.
Shaquille O’Neal even did a video promoting the fact Krispy Kreme will give customers a free doughnut of their choice, with no purchase necessary.
