The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has named Carol Burnett as the recipient of its inaugural Golden Globe television special achievement award. It honors the highest level of achievement and will now be forever known as the Carol Burnett Award.
It’s the TV equivalent of the Cecile B. DeMille Award, named after its first recipient, the famed director. Burnett will accept the award on January 6th, in a live ceremony on NBC.
