Celebrate one of Chicago’s favorite foods at the fest that features plenty of dogs (and ketchup FOR YOUR FRIES) plus music and entertainment.

Retro on Roscoe

This weekend event has it all: live entertainment, art vendors, a kids area and car show!

Festival Cubano

Riis Park at Narragansett Avenue & Fullerton Avenue
This fest celebrates the Cuban culture with appropriate music, dance, activities and food.  I hope they have cubanos!

Bud Billiken Parade
August 10th at 10AM
Martin Luther King Drive from from 39th to 55th
This parade is a staple in the area as it is billed at the oldest and largest African American Parade.  The parade concludes with a free fest in Washington Park.

Birds, Bees, & Butterflies: A Native Garden Tour
August 10th from 1PM to 4PM
Begins at Trailside Museum of Natural History
This outdoor event invites you to tour 8 private and public gardens in River Forest and Oak Park.

Arlington Million

The million dollar race is a massive event for the jockeys and audience!  Will your horse be number 1?

Farm & Barn Fest

This outdoor fest brings a country feeling to Chicago with live music, a petting zoo, activities and more.

Northalsted Market Days

North Halsted Street (from Belmont to Addison)
This street fair will feature 200 different vendors and live music.

Thirsty Ears Festival

Wilson Street from Hermitage to Ravenswood
This classical music fest entertains visitors young and old with live music, food, beer and activities for kids.

Kite Festival

In the meadow at Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe
Let’s go fly a kite!  You can fly your own kite or watch the pros perform stunts with kites.  Don’t have a kite to bring?  You can make one right at the fest!

Veggie Fest Chicago
August 10th – 11th
A healthy food fest with meatless menus and exercise-related activities for kids and adults.

Lincolnshire Art Festival
August 10th – 11th
This weekend’s free, local art fest will feature 100 juried artists as well as activities including live music and art for children to create.

Bristol Renaissance Faire

See works from many artisans, merchants and performers including jousting knights and ravishing rogues. The Faire is a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England complete with 16th Century games and rides, arts, crafts, food, music and dance.
