Bob Seger has rescheduled his 2017 “Runaway Train” dates with the Silver Bullet Band and will hit the road again in November. Last fall, Seger’s tour in support of his latest album, I Knew You When, was cut short by complications from a ruptured disc. He woke up September 30th with a symptom his doctors warned him about, his leg was dragging. In an interview with Rolling Stone he said, “My doctor said to me, ‘Oh no, that’s it, you’re done with this tour. You’re having surgery now.'” Last November, Seger was optimistic about what’s next and commented, “I’m feeling better all the time. They aren’t letting me lift anything over five pounds. I can’t do anything: no piano, no guitar, no nothing. But as soon as the pain stops, I’ll be playing again.”
According to The Detroit News, “Seger’s reps and promoters worked to match concerts to specific days in each city — i.e. shows scheduled on a Saturday were aimed to be made up on Saturdays — according to a member of Seger’s management team. Tickets for the original concerts will be honored at the makeup dates.”
